Perhaps volunteer by the hour? A rate of $15/hr seems about right if the visit is limited to only football related discussion. $20/hr would get you a thrown together spiritual message and $25/hr would get you something special. A bit of overkill since it would still leave ~38-39 hours a month left over for visiting widows, the sick and afflicted, people in prison, etc.? Have you thought about offering a premium temporary one-day upgrade from pretty good to saintly that could be purchased (or scheduled in advance) for the last Sunday of the month?
